More clarity.
More of that shine.

Refresh paintwork affected by light surface scratches, swirl marks and a dull appearance. We’ll assess the finish and discuss the improvement that may be achievable.

Polishing & light scratch removal

Small surface marks can make a big difference.

Fine scratches and swirl marks can interrupt the reflection in your paint, especially in bright light. Polishing can improve suitable surface defects and bring back a clearer, glossier appearance.

The right approach depends on the depth of the marks, the condition of the paint and any previous refinishing. We’ll discuss the areas that bother you and assess whether polishing is the appropriate next step.

Light scratch removal has limits. A scratch that goes through the paint, or damage alongside a dent or corrosion, may require bodywork or refinishing instead. We’ll help you understand the difference before you plan the work.

Help us understand the finish you want

  • Which panels have scratches, swirls or a dull appearance.
  • Whether the marks are light or clearly through the paint.
  • Any previous paintwork or polishing you know about.
  • Whether you want to address a specific area or discuss the wider finish.
A closer look

Understand the areas that need attention.

01

Light surface scratches

Marks within the surface finish may respond to polishing. Deeper damage needs assessment rather than a promise that every scratch will disappear.

02

Swirl marks & haze

Fine circular marks and a hazy appearance can reduce the clarity of the finish. Discuss the areas you’d like improved.

03

Gloss & paint clarity

Polishing aims to improve the look of suitable paintwork. The result depends on its starting condition and what can reasonably be corrected.

Helpful information

Your questions,
a useful starting point.

For advice about your particular vehicle, call 01582 35 31 31.

Will polishing remove every scratch?

No. Light surface marks may improve, but scratches through the paint usually need a different repair. We’ll discuss realistic expectations after assessing the affected area.

Is polishing the same as repainting?

No. Polishing works on the existing finish. Repainting involves preparation and applying a new finish, and may be more appropriate for deeper damage.

Can I have one area polished?

Tell us which area concerns you and the result you have in mind. We can discuss the scope of the work and how it relates to the surrounding paintwork.
